Louis Vuitton has tapped Michelle Williams to star in another advertising campaign.
Williams fronts the French luxury label's fall 2014 handbag campaign, marking her third season as a campaign star for the brand. Shot by Peter Lindberg, the series of intimate images feature the actress holding Louis Vuitton's Capucine and Lockit bags in some pretty pastel hues. Williams also sports platinum blonde hair in the images, which are slated to break in the October issue of various fashion magazines.
"The resulting series of portraits hints at the woman behind the actress, revealing the intriguing balance of force and fragility that made Michelle Williams such a compelling choice as the face of Louis Vuitton," a press release said.
Back in April, images of Louis Vuitton's spring handbag campaign, which also starred Williams, were revealed. These images, also shot by Lindberg, were styled by Carine Roitfeld and feature Williams seated on a pile of suitcases, riding a bike and laying inside an oversized trunk.
"Michelle Williams is the essence of the stylish, self-confident Parisienne," Louis Vuitton said in a press release.
Earlier this summer, Nicolas Ghesquière unveiled his fall 2014 clothing campaign for Louis Vuitton, which was his first for the label. Top photographers Bruce Weber, Annie Leibovitz and Juergen Teller shot four individuals who Louis Vuitton characterized as "contemporary heroines" - actress Charlotte Gainsbourg and models Liya Kebede, Freja Beha Erichsen and Jean Campbell.
The campaign, which is called Series 1, consists of a curated selection of pictures that were inspired by Ghesquière's debut fall collection for Louis Vuitton. For this project, each of the photographers were given free reign to interpret Ghesquière's range and apply their unique visual signature.
