Thanks to Prada and Printemps, you can celebrate this holiday season in style.
The Italian fashion house and the Parisian department store have teamed up on a project that will be unveiled early next month.
In addition to creating a series of innovative installations that will decorate the store beginning in November, Miuccia Prada also designed a limited-edition collection, which will be sold exclusively at the department store.
This holiday capsule collection will consist of ready-to-wear pieces, accessories, bags and shoes in a particular range of colors (we're guessing some reds and greens) and prints. It will also feature typical Christmas gifts such as advent calendars, carillons, scarves, essences and candles.
In the heart of the department store, the collection will be on display in the atrium, which will be transformed to look like Prada's historic flagship in Milan's Galleria Vittorio Emanuele shopping arcade. A massive advent calendar with the numbered windows unveiling animated mannequins and saffiano leather gift boxes will embellish the renovated space's walls.
As another exciting part of the Prada and Printemps "Joyful Obsession" Christmas, sparkling stars and snowflakes will light up the store's façade, which will showcase a giant Santa Claus on a 16-meter sleigh pulled by a reindeer gliding along the emblematic House of Savoy's coat of arms and knotted rope of Prada that is draped elegantly across the façade.
And if that all wasn't enough, the iconic department stores' 11 windows on Boulevard Haussmann will be decorated with installations that feature the storied fashion house's signature teddy bears and checkered patterns in a new and original concept.
Do these two companies know how to spread Christmas cheer or what? We're especially excited to see the limited-edition shoes and handbags. They're definitely being added to our Christmas list.
