And thankfully for us, Dr. Banker gave us a few tips on how to avoid harming your smile even further:
Wait to brush. If you think the solution is to brush your teeth after having coffee or juice, you're wrong!
Dr. Banker advises to wait 30 minutes to an hour after drinking acidic beverages before brushing your teeth.
Rinse with water. Sip water directly after drinking colored drinks to keep them from staining your teeth! What a great idea!
Drink Quickly. Dr. Banker explains that by consuming these drinks with small sips over a long period of time, teeth will be bathing in sugars, which can cause damage to your smile.
Straws are your best friends. The best way to avoid staining your pearly whites is to use a straw so the beverage does not touch and stain your front teeth.
