In anticipation of the upcoming holiday, we've put together a list of 12 Mexican restaurants in New York City hosting Cinco de Mayo celebrations worth checking out. Keep reading to see our picks, and make sure to stop by tomorrow for some good food, tasty drinks and tons of fun.
For the second year in a row, Louro is celebrating Cinco de Mayo with a pop-up taqueria. From 5 p.m. to midnight on Tuesday, the pop-up will serve a selection of tacos — short rib, shrimp, chicken, pork belly and huitlacoche — for $2.50 each, as well as margaritas for $8 a glass or $28 for a pitcher and Mexican house beers and tequila shots.

Stop by Horchata on Cinco de Mayo at 5 p.m. to enjoy a variety of $5 snacks (tacos, nachos, corn, guacamole and flan) and drinks (sangria, margaritas, tequila shots and Tecate). Margarita pitchers and buckets of Corona are also available for $25.

3. Dos Caminos
In addition to delicious food and drink specials, those celebrating Cinco de Mayo this year can enjoy a live performance by a female mariachi band at Dos Caminos from noon to 2 p.m. The restaurant will also deliver a party box featuring chips and guacamole, quesadillas, brownies, margarita mix and more for those who want to celebrate in the comfort of their own home.

Nibble on authentic Mexican dishes like Chile Rellenos, Molcajete Seafood and Enchiladas Mole Poblano at Rocco's Tacos in Brooklyn this Cinco de Mayo and wash them down with one (or more!) of the restaurant's countless margaritas (like the Antioxidant Margarita, a customer favorite).

Toloache has a variety of tasty treats on special this Cinco de Mayo, such as crispy lamb taquitos, tacos and a seafood entree, at all three of its locations. Wash everything down with a margarita and enjoy a mariachi band performance.

7. Los Feliz
In addition to offering happy hour prices all day long on Cinco de Mayo, Los Feliz will also have a special ala carte menu and two family style prefix menus available. Live music will be performed during the day and night, and fun prizes like T-shirts and shot glasses will be given away.

10. Bodega Negra
Like many other places on this list, Bodega Negra will have live performances and delicious food available on Cinco de Mayo, but what separates this restaurant from the rest is the fact that guests can get 10 percent off their bill by posting a picture of their meal to Instagram and and using the tag @BodegaNegraNYC and hashtag #BodegaNegra.

11. Cantina Rooftop
Cantina Rooftop, a new restaurant that officially opens on Cinco de Mayo, is celebrating the holiday with live music, $5 beers and tequila shots, $6 margaritas and three tacos for $7. Did we mention you can enjoy all this while taking in stunning skyline views of Midtown Manhattan?
