While most people are still probably buzzing about her forthcoming shoe collection, Sarah Jessica Parker is currently working on yet another creative collaboration.
The "Sex and the City" actress, whose debut shoe collection will go on sale at Nordstrom on February 28, recently announced that she is collaborating with Hallmark on a greeting card collection.
"I love cards, I always have," Parker told WWD.
"I'm a big believer in the power of a handwritten note, so I was very interested in being involved with this project."
The collection, which launches later this week, will also feature glittering and glamorous stationery and wrapping paper. We can't think of a better way to say "Happy Birthday" or share a story with a pen pal than with a sparkling card or some embellished wrapping paper.
As for the actress' shoe collection, it features a Mary Jane pump, strappy sandals and Parker's version of a T-strap on a style aptly called the "Carrie," which sits lower on the ankle than normal. The shoes, which range in price from $150 to $400, come in a range of styles from a high heel and a mid heel to a kitten heel and a flat.
"Trust in the simple," Parker said to WWD when discussing her new line.
"I was so happy to support the single-sole shoe again."
Every shoe also features a design detail that is unique to Parker's brand: a grosgrain ribbon tab at the back, which is meant to be a tribute to Parker's memory of shopping for hair ribbons with her mother as a child.
"My sister and I always wore ribbons in our hair; we had a drawer full of grosgrain ribbon but not any money," Parker said.
"I want people walking down the street to instantly know a woman is wearing an SJP," Parker's business partner George Malkemus said.
