According to The Hollywood Reporter, Westwood and Kronthaler decorated the space and, "brought to life an alternate vision of heaven inspired by the couple’s shared philosophy on stopping climate change."
Westwood wore a sequined dress sewn by Kronthaler for the evening, draped over one of her signature graphic tee-shirts, this time proclaiming the innocence of jailed Native American activist Leonard Peltier.
Stars in attendance included Christina Hendricks, Juliette Lewis, Zendaya, Camilla Belle, Topher Grace, Jaime King, Kelly Osbourne, Bellamy Young, ZZ Ward, Christina Milian, Ashley Madekwe and Jamie Chung.
Many of the stars wore the designer's outfits. Christina Hendricks wore the "Grande Kilt" ruby red silk moiré draped corset gown with tulle underskirt from the Vivienne Westwood FW15 Couture Collection. Juliette Lewis wore the "The Victoria," a white, nude and black tulle gown from the same season. Ed Westwick wore a graphic suit from the men's collection.
Zendaya paired a Vivienne Westwood corset with a skinny leg tuxedo suit for a head-to-toe white look, as did singer Charli XCX. It turned out to be a big trend at the Golden Globes held the following evening.
In contrast, some attendees including Ali Larter, ZZ Ward, Kat Graham and Jamie Chung made major color statements in various of shades of tangerine, orange, apricot and lime.
Other celebs walked the red carpet in designs that were clearly influenced by Westwood who is known for her structured corsetry and draping. Minka Kelly hit the red carpet in an elegant Monique Lhuillier Pre-Fall 2014 gown. Malin Ackerman also wore Monique Lhuillier but she wore her hair in a shock of curls, which the actress said was inspired by Westwood's own 'do.
Kat Graham wore a strapless draped structured gown by Mety Choa.
Stayed tuned for more from Vivienne Westwood in the coming weeks as she presents her men's collection for FW16 in Milan this weekend and her women's collection in Paris next month.
