Perry Ellis creative director Michael Maccari presented his fall/winter 2016 collection for the brand on the second-ever New York Fashion Week: Men's runway.
Maccari was inspired by landscape images and utilized simple silhouettes in a slew of textures and colors.
"We've been playing with the idea of images appearing differently in the distance than they do up close-like landscapes," Maccari said, according to a press release. "When you step back, you start to get the bigger picture of shape and proportion, but when you get closer, that image is actually made up of many complicated textures and colors."
Maccari also credits the "simplistic and often military-inspired fashion sense of the 1960's and 1970's," for the significant role it plays throughout the collection.
Attendees at the event on Wednesday included actor Cuba Gooding Jr., New York Jets player Eric Decker and "Saturday Night Live" cast member Colin Jost.
