VFiles announced on Wednesday its roster of mentors for its upcoming runway show during New York Fashion Week.
Supermodel Naomi Campbell, makeup artist Pat McGrath, celebrity stylist Mel Ottenberg, Fear of God designer Jerry Lorenzo and rapper Young Thug have all been tapped by the NYC-based fashion incubator to consult with the designers, models, hair and makeup team, photographers and stylists for the upcoming show, which is scheduled to take place Sept. 7.
"We are incredibly excited to be consulting with Naomi, Pat, Jerry, Mel, and Jeffery as we prep for the seventh season of VFILES Runway. Each has an incredible vision and are also not scared to take risks where moving fashion forward is concerned. Fashion today belongs to the risk takers and those who will push the boundaries of their ideas and how they are communicated," VFILES CEO and founder Julie Anne Quay told Daily Front Row.
Per usual, all talent for the show will be sourced from VFILES' online social networking platform, where users can upload their work and share it with the site's other members.
In other runway news, it was recently announced that Kanye West has confirmed a date for his Yeezy Season 4 show during NYFW. West's show will also take place on Sept. 7, but a time or location has not been shared yet.
It was also just announced that Band of Outsiders plans to make its comeback during NYFW. The brand plans to host a runway show on Sept. 10 at Skylight Clarkson Square — an official NYFW venue.
The spring collection will consist of "contemporary apparel and accessories, which will be targeted to high-end retailers such as Barneys New York." The collection reportedly will be designed by a team of designers put together by CLCC SA, the Belgian holding company Band of Outsiders owed a credit of $2.5 million to before shutting down in 2015.
