Now that summer is coming to an end, we're starting to think about our fall wardrobe.
One item we always invest heavily in for fall is denim, which is why we're so excited that Jessica Alba's collaboration with denim brand DL1961 finally hit stores earlier this month.
The collection, which was first announced back in February, consists of 10 denim styles ranging from high-waisted flares to distressed skinny jeans.
"Details are everything, especially when it comes to jeans. I was obsessed with things like the proportions of crops or the placements of pockets and zippers. If it didn't make sense to me or my girlfriends, it didn't make the cut," Alba told us exclusively of her collection for DL1961.
Alba also stars in the an advertising campaign for the collection.
"Jessica embodies the spirit of the DL woman — confident, style conscious and business savvy. Our goal together is to offer women a superior product that makes them feel great while also having an impact on the environment," DL1961 creative director Sarah Ahmed said in a press release.
"I'm very excited to join the DL team. It's my first foray into fashion design, but I know I want to design for women of every body type. Feeling beautiful and confident in a pair of jeans is what every woman wants, and I want to be able to give them that," Alba added.
Alba is also the founder and chief creative officer of The Honest Company and Honest Beauty, founded in 2012 and 2015 respectively. The Honest Company sells nontoxic, environmentally friendly products across a slew of platforms, including baby, personal care, home care and vitamins and supplements. Honest Beauty offers a comprehensive collection of skincare and makeup products that follow the same guidelines as Honest Company's offering.
