Madewell unveiled its fall 2016 advertising campaign on Tuesday.
Shot on Constance Jablonski in Lisbon, Portugal, the campaign focuses on the six words that define Madewell — tomboy, sexy, cool, unexpected, effortless and artful — and features looks that best represent them for the fall season.
The fall collection features more than 200 new arrivals that are unmistakably Madewell but have been updated and refreshed for the new season. Some items include boyfriend shirts, shirt dresses, ribbed and lace-up sweaters, wide-leg jeans and outerwear.
Last month, Madewell launched a new program, titled Denim Every Day, to coincide with the arrival of its fall collection in stores. The programed highlighted one new denim item per day for 24 days. Pieces were announced every day at Madewell.com and through Madewell's social channels, including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest.
"We are celebrating the launch of fall denim in a way we have never done before — after the initial release of our core collection, we will continue to unveil a new denim-inspired item each day for 24 days. Tune into Madewell's Instagram for limited-edition collabs and one-of-a-kind pieces, all of which are exclusive to Madewell. Thinking out of the box and reimagining how denim could be used for this program was a lot of fun for my team. It was a sky's-the-limit process that allowed us to use denim to create some of our favorite things — think furniture, sneakers, art and even a candle," Joyce Lee, Head of Madewell design, said in a press release.
The first of the featured items was a pair of denim Madewell x Vans sk8-hi slim, high-top sneakers, while other products included a customizable jean jacket, a denim chair, maternity jeans, a denim jumpsuit and more.
