Marc Jacobs has changed the time and venue of his upcoming New York Fashion Week runway show.
Jacobs typically shows at the Park Avenue Armory at 6 p.m. on the last day of NYFW, but this season, he will show at Hammerstein Ballroom at 2 p.m. on the final day.
A representative for Jacobs told WWD the brand was able to move the show to an early time slot because Hammerstein Ballroom was more flexible than Park Avenue Armory, and because Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein — who typically show on the last day of NYFW as well — had left the day wide open, Jacobs thought it was more polite to show at 2 p.m. instead of 6 p.m. No other details about the show were revealed.
In related news, Jacobs recently teamed up with MTV on a capsule collection, which launched just days before the VMAs on Sunday.
The collection is an extension of Jacobs' resort 2017 collection, which featured several 1980s-inspired pieces with MTV's logo, and is available for pre-order now through Aug. 30 on Marcjacobs.com and at Marc Jacobs stores worldwide. The collection features a cashmere knit sweatshirt, embroidered T-shirts and sweatshirts and tote bags.
