Chinese fashion brand Ricostru is the latest lucky label to be selected by Giorgio Armani to show at his Armani Theater during Milan Fashion Week.
The womenswear label, founded in 2011 by Rico Manchit Au, will make its Milan Fashion Week runway debut on Sept. 26, WWD reported.
"I think it's very stimulating to find new talents on the international scene: it's a moment of exchange and growth. What I like of Ricostru is the great focus and the design precision," Armani said.
"It's an incredible honor for me to show my collection at the venue of Giorgio Armani, the designer who better represents the Italian elegance. I really thank Giorgio Armani for this incredible opportunity and for his support, a great, important help for an emerging brand like Ricostru," Au said.
Every season, Armani selects an emerging designer to show at Armani Theater. Ricostru is the 14th brand selected by Armani and follows in the footsteps of designers including Stella Jean, Julian Zigerli, Au Jour Le Jour's Diego Marquez and Mirko Fontana, Angelos Bratis and Ujoh.
"My initiative in supporting little-known but promising designers is paying off, and personally, I'm quite passionate about it," Armani told WWD in July 2014 after announcing Bratis was selected to show at his theater.
"The future of the system depends on new generations, and I am happy to be able to contribute in an active way," the designer added.
