Season after season, Georgine Ratelband, who made her New York Fashion Week debut in February 2014, continues to wow us with her luxurious, elegant designs.

And the designer outdid herself once again with her spring/summer 2017 collection for her eponymous label, Georgine, which she presented at Skylight Clarkson Square on Wednesday.

The 34-piece collection was inspired by the idea of young girls borrowing clothes from their mothers and making the items their own.

"The inspiration is about daughters raiding mom's' closets, and of course I thought about myself and all the girls that I know like Zoë Kravitz and Francis Bean Cobain going in Courtney Love's closet and reworking it and making it their own," Ratelband told us backstage before the show.

When describing the type of customer she designed the collection for, Ratelband said she imagined a girl who shops at both Bergdorf Goodman and Trash & Vaudeville.

"Taylor Swift would be amazing. Even like Francis Bean Cobain, Zoë Kravitz, Willow Smith I love," the designer said when asked what celebrities she envisions in the collection.

Some key items include two bright yellow fur jackets, several metallic mini and maxi dresses, a short-sleeve trench coat — one of Ratelband's favorite pieces — and a pink brocade coat, which is another of Ratelband's favorites. Per usual, the collection also featured a number of colored fur stoles too.
