Lily Allen realized she had lost her hundred thousand dollar Chanel wedding dress when she could not find it anywhere.

Chanel. One of the biggest names in the fashion industry, so big in fact that even if someone is only going to wear an item of theirs once, like with a wedding, it is still best to keep that item, whether it is an accessory or a dress. Of course, that does not mean that you should just throw out your wedding dress in the first place.

But that is exactly what happened to Lily Allen, except instead of throwing out her Chanel wedding dress, she apparently accidentally lost it, E! reports.

The singer wore the dress back when she married buider and decorator Sam Cooper back in 2011. She told the story of the dress during a recent appearance on U.K.'s 4 Music channel when she was asked by a fan which article among the clothes in her wardrobe was the most expensive.

The 28-year-old English singer, perhaps best known for her 2009 chart topper and platinum hit "Not Fair," jokingly expressed her hesitation to answer at first, but she responded by saying, "Oh you do not want to know! There's two bits to this answer. One, it's not in my wardrobe-it's missing. And two, it's my Chanel Couture wedding dress that's worth about £200,000."

So technically, it's no longer the most expensive item in her wardrobe since it's not in her wardrobe anymore. But losing that dress must have still hurt her in more ways than one considering that price tag is equivalent to more than $330,000.

In fact, she even showed the sting of losing the dress had on her wallet by whispering the "...£200,000" part.

When asked how the dress could have gone missing, all Allen could respond with was a weak murmur, saying, "I don't know where it is," and the expression on her face showed just how painful it was for her to talk about the missing dress.

Closer inspection of media surrounding Allen's wedding show that the lost dress was actually the one she wore during her wedding's reception, which was referenced by the host asking "the second one?"

The dress was custom created by Karl Lagerfeld for Lily Allen, who was also pregnant at the time.

Seems like Lagerfeld needs to have a talk with her.
