In the episode aired last April 2, 2014, "Asia's Next Top Model" Season 2 revealed its three finalists for the finale: Sheena Liam from Malaysia as well as Katarina Rodriguez and Jodilly Pendre both from the Philippines.
During the episode featuring the top four finalists, Liam, Rodriguez, Pendre and Marie Nakagawa from Japan were tasked to do catwalk exercises and have a go-see and a photoshoot for Harper's Bazaar Malaysia magazine.
Liam did best in the catwalk exercises winning $1,000 worth of MAC cosmetics. She was also lauded for her modelling ability during the photoshoot.
On the other hand, Nakagawa was not able to deliver a satisfactory photo.
While they received so-so comments for the photoshoot, Pendre and Rodriguez were the first two contestants to be called out as finalists leaving Liam and Nakagawa to battle for the third and final spot.
Nakagawa, who complained about different directions given to her simultaneously, was eventually sent home as Liam joined the final three.
The first season winner was Jessica Amornkuldilok of Thailand, besting runners-up Kate Ma of Taiwan and Stephanie Retuya of the Philippines.
Malaysia's Liam, 22, has a bachelor's degree in mass communications while the Philippines' Pendre, 20, has a bachelor's degree in information systems. Rodriguez, 21, is still taking up philosophy and business management, ABS-CBN News reported.
