We knew when we saw this year's list of nominees and presenters that this year's Grammy Awards was going to be worth watching. Not just for the amazing musical performances, either. When you have artists like Chappell Roan, Taylor Swift, Raye, Sabrina Carpenter and Doechii, the fashion definitely deserves its own award. As anticipated, the 2025 Grammy Awards red carpet looks are truly mind-boggling. Most in the best way possible.
Roan really owned the night by kicking things off in a truly decadent Jean Paul Gaultier gown plucked from the designer's 2003 Haute Couture collection. Naturally, the newly-minted Grammy winner went all out when it came to her makeup and accessories. She had several wardrobe changes throughout the night, but nothing topped that archival masterpiece.
Charli XCX also went the Gaultier route. Although her corseted high-low dress appeared on a much more recent runway. It's one of the tantalizing creations designed for Spring 2025 Haute Couture by Gaultier's most recent collaborator, Ludovic de Saint Sernin. Doechii also made quite an impression. The rapper rocked Thom Browne on the red carpet and for her performance. Even her dancers were decked out in the fashion house.
Much like Roan, Olivia Rodrigo opted for vintage. The singer/songwriter turned heads in a sultry Versace dress. Swift spiced things up with a red hot Vivienne Westwood dress and strappy sandals. Alicia Keys was as good as gold in an ornate Dolce & Gabbana design with perhaps the grandest statement earrings ever. Meanwhile, Willow Smith wore her black blazer dress open to provide a peek at her embellished bra and underwear. Proving the no pants look still has some legs.
Carpenter arrived in a baby blue JW Anderson number featuring a feather peplum. (They are slowly coming back in fashion, after all.) Cardi B also embraced feathers via her slightly off-the-shoulder Roberto Cavalli. Gracie Abrams looked ethereal in a creamy Chanel dress with complementary sheer hood, which makes total sense since she served as the inspiration for the French fashion house's Spring 2025 Pre-Collection. Kacey Musgraves made a tank top look glamorous paired with an absolutely dripping in fringe maxi skirt courtesy of Ralph Lauren Collection. Best new artist nominee Raye channeled Old Hollywood glamour in a strapless Armani Privè stunner.
The Old Hollywood vibes aren't restricted to fashion. Several attendees sported bombshell waves worthy of starring in a film noir flick from the 40s. Cardi B, Raye, Kehlani and Kelsea Ballerini flaunted retro waves.
