There's been lots of shake-ups at famous fashion houses lately. First, Sarah Burton stepped away from Alexander McQueen to be succeeded by Seán McGirr. Now Chloe moves from the Gabriela Hearst era to the Chemena Kamali epoch.

Chloe just announced that the German designer will take over its creative director role. A Central Saint Martins graduate, Kamali has extensive experience in the industry, including several years at Chloe. She was actually part of both Phoebe Philo and Clare Waight Keller's teams. Kamali comes back to the brand after serving as women's ready-to-wear design director for Saint Laurent.

"My heart has always been Chloé's. It has been since I stepped through its doors more than 20 years ago. Returning feels natural and very personal," explains Kamali on Instagram. She'll make her runway debut as creative director in January 2024 by unveiling Chloe's pre-collection in Paris.
