Fashion is notoriously fickle. Especially now when trends have sadly become more important than clothes. See cowboy core, the coquette aesthetic, no pants, naked dresses, etc. Style and fashion are often used interchangeably, but there's a big difference, according to some of the most iconic names in the industry.

What else can we learn from these sartorial trailblazers? Plenty. Karl Lagerfeld proclaimed one particular piece of clothing a must-have. Former American Vogue editor Diana Vreeland argued that style was better than a cup of coffee in the morning when it comes to motivation. While Giorgio Armani explains why you shouldn't focus on standing out from the crowd.

We had to include a few fun tidbits, too. Like Linda Evangelista's infamous line about how much it takes for her to get out of bed. Evangelista wasn't just speaking for herself and you may be surprised which fellow supermodel had the same price tag. Coco Chanel's confidence is truly inspiring and it's clear that jeweler Harry Winston wouldn't be jumping on the quiet luxury bandwagon.
