It's almost the end of the year, and what better way to commemorate 2025 than by looking back at how well it performed, fashion-wise. Many celebrities graced the red carpet, looking their absolute best and sometimes worse. Of course, we're not here to pass judgment, but let's say we've seen a few looks that would've been better off stashed in the closet.
Katy Perry – Hooded Gown Disaster
First of all, can we just say that Katy Perry's fit physique is the best thing about this look? And it's only downhill from there. Sure, her fashion history's a hit or miss, so we 're not surprised she chose this questionable hooded number. The "Firework" singer went to the 11th Breakthrough Prize Awards in this futuristic-looking gown, much to everyone's shock. Don't worry, Katy, there's always next year.
Parker Posey – Lazy Lacey
Let's all agree that Parker Posey's performance in "The White Lotus" is all sorts of spectacular. The actress was nominated for an Emmy for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, which she sadly didn't win. That moment made headlines, but there's another thing that caused a buzz and not for good reason—her lilac lace Valentino dress. The layered gown made Posey appear frumpy and washed out. Maybe hiring a new stylist would give her better luck in the next Emmys.
Jordan Chiles – All Sorts of Confusing
The 2025 American Music Awards witnessed a handful of celebrities who made dubious fashion choices, and one of these was Jordan Chiles. The gold medalist's attempt to be edgy proved to be a tragedy after choosing a Marine Serre custom white dress with a shoelace detailing in front. The gown's drop-waist style did not fit Jordan's body type, and the peeping sandals from below are the final straw.
Heidi Klum – Senior Prom Disaster
Heidi Klum is renowned for her incredible Halloween costumes every year. Unfortunately, she missed the fashion mark when she made her way to the Cannes red-carpet premiere of "Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning" wearing an Elie Saab creation that looked like it was made for a 2000s senior prom. The supermodel looked quite underwhelming in the pearlescent frock compared to her previous Cannes look.
Megan Stalter – Basic Blunder
Megan Stalter defied norms at the 2025 Primetime Emmy Awards by walking the red carpet wearing the most basic outfit ever known to mankind. The comedian wore denim pants, a white shirt and a black bucket bag that had "Cease fire" written on it as a political statement. We're all for standing up for what you believe in, but maybe she would've made a bigger impression if she chose better attire.
Kim Kardashian – Not Superfine at All
At this point, it's safe to say that Kim Kardashian is a regular at the Met Gala. Fans looked forward to seeing what the reality star had to offer in this year's event, which had the theme of "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style." Sadly, Kim didn't deliver in her black Chrome Hearts gown as it made her appear quite uncomfortable. Not to mention her fedora hat, which kind of made the whole thing cheesy. Needless to say, we expected a lot more from Kim K!
