If we're being honest, part of the reason we enjoy award season is that we know what to expect. Well, at least when it comes to the dates. The Golden Globes always kicks off the year, while the Grammys are handed out in February. The same can't be said for the Council of Fashion Designers of America's annual honors as the 2025 CFDA Fashion Awards date was just revealed.
The ceremony used to be held in early June, which was nice since there was a red carpet vacuum in the summer. That all changed in 2020 thanks to the pandemic. That year the ceremony was held on September 14. Since then, the festivities have been seemingly permanently moved to November. Although last year it inched back a bit further to the end of October. Now comes word that this year's event will occur on November 3 at New York City's Museum of Natural History. In addition to returning to the same venue, Amazon Fashion will once again serve as the presenting partner. Google Shopping is also sponsoring the American Emerging Designer of the Year Award again, which Henry Zankov for Zankov won in 2024.
While the 2025 CFDA Fashion Awards date is confirmed, nominees won't be announced until September so stay tuned.
