Everyone's already pointed out that nautical fashion is very much in style right now. Makes sense since it's summer and spending days by and on the sea is common practice. This summer, however, there's another seaworthy trend taking over. We're talking about the fact that a vast majority of fashion brands are reeling in big bucks with fish clothing, bags and jewelry.
In most cases, the trend is pretty literal. Actual images of fish, especially sardines, are appearing in a slew of seasonal collections. Although there is the occasional abstract creation that uses fish scales to get its point across. (See TWP's embellished top.)
There are two brands that have the concept on lock. Staud is pretty fishy as the animals decorate everything from swimsuits to shorts and even bags. Once again, sardines are the catch of the day. Not to be outdone, FARM Rio has a logo-clad swimsuit, a graphic beach bag and a coy-inspired green maxi dress.
