Tomato girl and strawberry girl summer are both way back in our rearview mirror. But that doesn't mean we need to stop wearing red makeup or red clothing. Especially since the holiday season is about to begin and crimson hues are always in high demand for all of the holiday parties people are bound to be throwing. Actually, red will still be trending come spring, at least according to the Spring 2024 collections. So we decided to put together a list of the best red jeans to buy and wear right now. Because you're more likely to wear jeans than any other type of pant in winter.

There are many, many shades of red, which translates to lots of options. We encourage sticking to a more middle range. In other words, no neon and forgo maroons and dark wine hues. Unless there's a little something, something like iridescence to brighten things up. Coated denim and velvet are also OK.

Next we move on to type. Bootcut and flare jeans will be your best friends this time of year. They'll make it super easy to slip on your go-to boots. Cropped takes will work, too. As long as you'll be sporting boots that'll make up the difference between the hem of your jeans and your feet. If you're digging the whole wide-leg revolution, there are a couple roomy picks available.

This isn't a low-rise kind of roundup. Most selections we tracked down boast high waists. In fact, Diesel's distressed waist will make you want to flaunt cropped sweaters and coats so you can show it off. As long as we're on the subject of styling, let's discuss what to pair with your pair of choice. In a way red is like a neutral. You'll be surprised how many colors it complements. It does depend on the shade of red you choose, however. Now you may be thinking that you can't wear red with red. Well, you're wrong. Whether it's a denim set or slightly different incarnations, you can totally get away with it. Just skip wearing a black belt and black boots. That way you'll avoid the dreaded Santa Claus comparisons.

Scroll down to discover the must-have red jeans of the season. (You'll have to buy any coordinating items separately.) Price points vary, but most are pretty reasonable so they won't drain your holiday shopping savings account.
