As expected, Alessandro Michele didn't leave his eclectic, layered style behind at Gucci. His Valentino collections make it abundantly clear that it's more like a mission statement than a fleeting trend. So imagine our surprise when that signature piled-on approach fails to appear in the Valentino Garavani Nellcôte Bag campaign.

In many ways, it's pretty stripped back. The ads depict cool kids waiting for a summer music festival to begin. It's serving serious Coachella vibes. Perhaps because the spotlight is supposed to be on the bag, Michele and photographer Julie Greve wanted to keep the models' outfits to a minimum. The Nellcôte silhouette is definitely hippie-influenced with the medium tote being introduced for Spring 2025. The campaign reveals new spins featuring embroidered mirrors, floral embroidery and geometric accents.
