Flaunting undergarments is nothing new. The exposed bra trend has been around for quite some time along with the no pants movement. Although many of us are far too timid to take either out for a real-world test drive. There is another way to dip your toe into the concept, however. Summer is the prime time to introduce a few chic camisoles into your wardrobe.
They're defined as loose-fitting undergarments usually featuring shoulder straps and decorative lace. Frequently the tanks are paired with matching pants and shorts to use as pajamas. They are also a truly stylish way to keep cool in oppressively hot temperatures. While the most common silhouette mirrors a typical tank, others are better classified as sleeveless since they don't offer straps.
There's no shortage of designer selections. Dries Van Noten, Chloe, Isabel Marant, Coperni, Dolce & Gabbana, Victoria Beckham, Stella McCartney, The Row... It's a pretty exhaustive list. You don't have to open a new savings account to sport camisoles this season, though. Anthropologie is especially flush with choices. Zara, Mango and & Other Stories also allow for experimentation without the sky-high price tags.
