Gucci is really going through it right now. After Alessandro Michele left to go head up Valentino, Sabato De Sarno came in to run the house, but that resulted in rather lackluster sales. (Although you can't really pin all of that on the designer with the current luxury slowdown and all.) Demna Gvasalia has been drafted to take up the mantle starting in July. Even with all the turmoil, the Italian fashion house is still putting out campaigns. Gucci's Lido Summer 2025 campaign is pretty much the epitome of summer.
Featuring Daisy Edgar-Jones, David Jonsson and Aliocha Schneider, the ads come courtesy of Jim Goldberg, known for written reflections decorating his photographs. The latest Lido offering is inspired by Italian summers and boasts everything from sleek swimsuits to colorful satin scarves meant to be worn as tops or wrapped around heads and cool tunics. The brand's bags play a supporting role, including raffia and wicker creations.
