How to Dress for an Italian Summer No Matter Where You Plan on Spending the Season

Summer is prime vacation time. Partially due to the fact that schools are out so families embark on quests for some quality time. Although most adults don't have a summer break. Nowadays, they don't have the bank roll to fund a trip father than their own backyard, either. That's what makes the current approach to seasonal dressing so refreshing. You don't have to travel to flaunt an Italian summer wardrobe.

Last year, European summer looks were all the rage. Things have gotten slightly more streamlined as only one country serves as inspiration. While most vacation outfit roundups focus on mainly tropical island fare, those don't exactly fly in this case. Sure, there are still some universal truths, like swimsuits, crochet and raffia bags. Anything with palm trees, Hawaiian flowers or beachy scenes that obviously don't come from the Italian Riviera won't work.

What does that leave? Plenty. Fruity prints are a fun way to channel the vibe. Especially if said print involves lemons. Stripes are also a cool option, from boxer shorts to silk trousers to a midi skirt.
