Winter Scarves

You may have noticed that scarf coats have really taken off. Who are we kidding? Of course you've noticed. They're literally everywhere. Not that we're complaining or anything. While we've got nothing against attaching a scarf to a coat and selling it as one package, there are several versions we admit we actually covet, the practice definitely limits your range. What happens when you want to wear a different coat? That's why you need multiple winter scarves in your seasonal arsenal.

Buying several scarves is way cheaper than collecting numerous scarf coats. Plus, there's lots more to work with. From plaid to primary colors to softer prints, just imagine the coat pairing possibilities. Any fashion-focused individual will get bored rocking the same coat and scarf all winter long. Facts.

Other things to consider are length and width because size matters. Some scarves can take quite a few laps around your neck. Others are designed to drape over your shoulders. Which means you need to decide which style best suits your needs. Or resign yourself to picking up at least one of each. Fringe is more about personal preference. It's not like it'll make a difference in keeping you warm. Material is also vital. Look for wool, mohair or cotton creations that'll protect your neck and your lower face from the cold. After all, that's the whole point of donning a scarf in the first place.

You'll also need to decide what portion of your winter accessory budget to dedicate. Obviously, the designer versions are going to make more of a financial dent. We're talking anywhere from $170 to $730. So brace yourself. The goal is to find ones you'll both treasure and wear for years to come.

On the other end of the cost spectrum, Zara's three most stylish scarves each ring in under $40. That means you can legit buy all three. You can also buy one designer scarf and one or more of Zara's numbers. Mango, COS, Free People and & Other Stories also have budget-friendly options.

Now it's time to start shopping. Keep reading to see our favorite winter scarves that'll keep you cozy while making you look totally cool on the fashion front.
